Children's Sunday School

Sunday School at 9:45 a.m.

Elementary-aged children are immersed in the Bible with a rotational curriculum that engages the mind and spirit using cooking, art, science, storytelling, spiritual practices and mission work!

In a rotational learning setting, the same Bible story or theme is taught for six weeks. Each week, learners rotate to a different station. The story remains the same, but children encounter it with different learning styles and fresh lessons each Sunday.

Rotation assignments for each Sunday can be found at the KidCheck locations where you check-in your children. A KidCheck stations are available in the children's area and at the north entrance to the Sanctuary. Locate your child’s age group assignment before heading to the following rooms:

· Preschool (ages 3 – 5) in room C-18 (preschoolers do not rotate)
· Storytelling and Mission in room C-11
· Cooking and Science in room C-9
· Art and Spiritual Practices in room C-8

Sunday School at 11:00 a.m.

We offer Sunday School for children in grades 2-6 at 11:00 a.m. Children are not divided into classes at this time but stay together as a group. Their lessons are a repeat of the 9:45 a.m. curriculum.

Children may be dropped off for 11:00 a.m. Sunday school in room C-11 as early as 10:45 a.m. Children are also welcome to begin the 11:00 a.m. service in the Sanctuary with their parents, and then leave worship as a group after the children's sermon and attend Sunday school (they will be escorted as a group by a SUMC staff member).

Children ages 3 through 1st Grade are invited to attend Wee Worship following the children's sermon in the 11:00 a.m. worship service.
