Fall Harvest Craft Sale - November 6, 2010
This annual event is a time of fun and fellowship featuring a meal, a silent and live auction, country store, hand made craft items, baked goods, and a quilt made by our SUMC Quilters. Proceeds from the event help fund the youth program, mission trips, and "camperships" to Glen Lake Camp.
Lord's Acre is a tradition that started many years ago in rural farming communities where families dedicated the income from the first harvest or sale of cattle to the church. The tradition began here over 30 years ago. The congregation designated all funds from the annual Lord's Acre celebration to go to building debt and capital funds improvement. Our Lord's Acre event is still about members planting their seeds to a grow the mission and ministry of our church.
The celebration in May is a wonderful two days of auctions, food, children's activity area, crafts, purchased or handmade, a beautiful quilt, and great fellowship. There is something for everyone.
