Worship Services

Worship meets a vital need in our lives. It celebrates and nurtures our relationship with God. We worship to praise and glorify God, to experience the presence of God and to be connected to our brothers and sisters in Christ. At Saginaw United Methodist Church, we desire for our worship to be a place where you can “come and find the quiet center” - a place where you can be grounded in your relationship with God and experience restoration and renewal.

Traditional Worship Services - 8:30 and 11:00 a.m.

Our traditional worship services offer liturgy and moving hymns and songs of praise. Holy Communion is served each week at the 8:30 a.m. worship service and on the first Sunday of the month at the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Simply Worship - 9:45 a.m.

Simply Worship is an acoustic service when we sing songs of praise together, pray for one another, hear a message of hope and join in communion around God’s table of grace. Simply Worship is a new service at Saginaw UMC and is highlighted in the video below

Reverends Jason and Estee Valendy alternate preaching at all worship services and their sermons engage topics of depth and substance. Our sermons do not offer easy answers or prescriptives that can be applied to your life. Rather, we seek to be challenged and transformed by the living and active word of God that cannot be contained or simplified.

We hope you will join us for worship to encounter God’s presence and to enter into God’s calling in your life.
